US End-of-Life Doula Organizations

Several national organizations offer education, standards, professional communities and public information about end-of-life doula work in the United States.

National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA)

NEDA publishes a model of care, scope of practice, code of ethics and core competencies. It also offers proficiency assessments. NEDA explains that end-of-life doulas are not licensed by a national or state governing body, so visitors should understand the difference between training, proficiency credentials and professional licensure.
